About the Workplace

Rödsleskolan is located next to the beautiful nature of Döderhultsdalen. The school has approximately 730 students distributed across grades F-3, 4-6, and 7-9, as well as approximately 100 staff members. All educators belong to a work team with an associated coordinator.

At Rödsleskolan, there is dedicated staff with a positive and inclusive attitude who work to give the students a good school day. We work with a clear focus and with great respect for our similarities and differences.

We are now looking for substitute teachers for grades F-9 and the after-school center who want to become part of our operations at Rödsleskolan.

Responsibilities

Your assignment with us is to lay the foundation for a Good Life for the students you meet and teach. Great importance is placed on relationships, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

In the role of a substitute, you are tasked with providing students with a safe and stimulating environment and supporting regular staff in their daily work. You will work in different units and join different work teams. It is a varied, fun, and exciting assignment where you get the opportunity to work with experienced educators. Together, you support the children in their development and conduct pedagogical work according to the curricula.

Tasks:

• Teaching in whole classes and/or smaller groups
• Resource support within student groups
• Supervision duties, e.g., during breaks

The substitute assignments can range from a few hours to full-time. Sometimes it is required to step in with short notice.

Qualifications

You must be 18 years or older. Experience is desirable. We prefer that you have education and/or work experience within the school sector. You work from a holistic view of the student with respect for their individual needs.

As a substitute teacher with us, you are expected to have:

• A high sense of responsibility
• Good teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions carefully
• Ability to independently identify what needs to be done
• A structured and organized way of working
• A flexible and adaptable attitude
• Ability to be a safe and clear leader
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Availability via phone in the morning if work with short notice is needed
