About the role
At Ramboll, we work according to our strategy "The Partner for Sustainable Change" and are now looking for you who want to join this journey and contribute to a more sustainable future.
We are in an exciting growth phase and continue to invest in our future development. To meet growing demand and our high ambitions, we are now strengthening our team with more key roles within road, street, and ground engineering. Within Roads & Highways, we have a clear ambition to continue growing, take on more complex and multidisciplinary assignments, and develop sustainable infrastructure solutions for the future. We are now looking for you who want to take a central role in this journey and contribute to our continued development in an ambitious and forward-looking organization.
Do you want to make a real difference in a world in great need of change, while having the opportunity to further develop within your area of expertise? Then this could be the next step in your career.
We welcome you to a collaborative environment where innovation, technology, and sustainable societies are in focus. Here, you work together with engaged colleagues with long experience and broad competence in many technical fields in a culture characterized by knowledge sharing, development, and strong engagement.
You are driven by working closely with colleagues in several technical fields, where you contribute with your experience and technical competence. As Technical Manager, you will play a key role in developing, leading, and quality-assuring technical solutions while being responsible for the technical progress of our assignments.
We are interested in contacting you who are ready for new challenges and who want to develop both projects and people together with us at Ramboll.
You have at least five (5) years of experience in leading design work and good knowledge of Civil 3D. Experience with Open Roads is advantageous. To ensure high quality in our deliveries, good competence in 3D design is an important part of the role. If you also have experience with complex assignments, it is a clear advantage.
You will belong to your local unit, which in turn is part of the Roads & Highways division. As Technical Manager for Roads, Streets, and Ground, you will lead and be responsible for the technical progress in both single and multidisciplinary assignments of varying sizes. We work on projects for state, municipal, and private clients, and you collaborate closely both nationally and internationally, sometimes with assignments in Sweden and sometimes in our Nordic and European collaborations.
Your main responsibilities
- Coordination and leadership of designers within road, ground, and street engineering
- Responsibility for economy, scheduling, and resource planning within the technical field
- Develop and contribute to AMA texts (TB and MF)
- Support and/or process tenders together with colleagues
- Contribute to the development of working methods and digital solutions in collaboration with the team nationally and internationally
- Ensure technical quality and contribute with solution proposals in the projects
To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you
- Have good knowledge of regulations within ground and street engineering as well as experience as a road, ground, or street designer
- Have a university or college education in civil engineering
- Have good competence in 3D design, especially Civil 3D (Open Roads is advantageous)
- Have experience with complex assignments (advantageous)
- Are communicative and enjoy collaborating and building relationships, both internally and externally
- Have good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Have a strong interest in working in international and multidisciplinary environments
- Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of other languages, such as German, is advantageous.
- Have the ability to work in global teams and contribute to joint development
At Ramboll, you have the opportunity to work on some of society's most exciting infrastructure projects together with colleagues who are passionate about technology, innovation, and sustainable development. We offer a workplace where you get great responsibility, good development opportunities, and the chance to influence both projects, technical solutions, and working methods.
