Job Description

As a Water Engineer, you will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, primarily other water engineers and the operations manager. The main focus of the role will be on drinking water production, where you will have significant responsibility for driving the operations forward, while always having the opportunity to consult with colleagues.

The duties are varied but involve substantial work with drinking water quality, self-control, and HACCP. You will also act as a project manager, planning, investigating, and carrying out renovations, upgrading process equipment, and leading expansions and upgrades at our waterworks and reservoirs.

The work includes, among other things, acting as the client for consultant investigations and design, conducting procurement processes, and serving as the client for contractors.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a university degree as a Bachelor's or Master's Engineer, preferably supplemented with a few years of experience in the field or similar areas.

You have an interest in the development and planning of water and wastewater services.

It is important that you have a holistic view, work systematically from planning to completion, and can work independently and with engagement. It is crucial that you are good at collaborating and creating and maintaining good relationships. Since you will have contact with authorities and be responsible for preparing documentation, you must be able to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.

A Category B driver's license is required, as well as knowledge of the Office 365 suite.

Experience from working within municipal water and wastewater services regarding drinking water issues, or as a consultant in drinking water matters, is considered meritorious.

Additionally, having a project management education, BAS P/U training, or experience in project management is highly desirable.

  • Salary: Monthly salary.
  • Employment type: Permanent position.
  • Duration: Start date by agreement.
  • Working hours: Daytime.

In connection with the recruitment process, Sjöbo Municipality has carefully considered recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore expressly decline contact with media sellers, recruitment sites, and similar.

We value the qualities that diversity and equal gender distribution bring to the operations and therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds and life experiences.
