Your role

You will become part of a cohesive and dedicated team within Technical Information, in the business area Aeronautics. The department is in a growth phase with an increasing number of projects and programs, which means good opportunities to influence ways of working, methods, and future development. You will become a key link between developers, experts, and users, contributing to ensuring that technical information is correct, accessible, and adapted to the recipient's needs.

In the role of Technical Information Specialist, you work on transforming complex technical information into clear, structured, and usable documentation. You combine technical understanding with pedagogical skills, using both text and visual elements to make advanced systems understandable.

You are responsible for collecting, analyzing, and processing information from various sources. The work involves producing, updating, and quality-assuring technical documentation related to advanced system solutions. You ensure that the content maintains high quality and complies with relevant standards.

Furthermore, you support colleagues in language, structure, and pedagogical writing, and contribute to developing and improving methods and processes within technical information. The role involves many interfaces, requiring good collaboration skills and clear communication.

You thrive in a dynamic environment where you take responsibility, switch between different assignments, and work in projects of varying scope, tools, and methodologies.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is analytical and able to see connections, while also having a sharp eye for detail and quality. You are solution-oriented and communicative, and easily adapt to different perspectives. You thrive both in teams and when working independently, and have the ability to drive your work from start to finish.

We see that you have:

• An education in flight technology, cognitive science, or equivalent, or alternatively several years of experience working with technical information
• Experience working with complex products or technical services where structure, precision, and system understanding are crucial
• Curiosity and interest in building relationships within the team and with your interfaces
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Technical education, for example within technical information or engineering.
• Experience as a pilot
• Experience working with technical documentation according to established standards, such as S1000D or iSpec2200
• Experience with tagging in XML or SGML
• Experience with Simplified Technical English (STE)
• Previous work with complex systems within the defense or aviation industry

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
