Your role

Do you want to develop within technical documentation for one of the world's most advanced fighter aircraft systems? Here, you will have the opportunity to build a broad understanding of the systems through close collaboration with experts in several technical fields. In this role, you contribute to creating clear and user-friendly technical information that is a crucial part of flight safety and operational capability.

You will become part of the Maintenance Instructions C/D section, consisting of 16 technical communicators. The team is characterized by high competence, close collaboration, and a helpful culture where knowledge sharing is a natural part of everyday life. Here, there are good opportunities to develop in the role and gradually build both technical competence and a broad understanding of our advanced products and systems.

The section is responsible for:

• creating and editing maintenance publications
• driving assigned deliveries and coordinating these with technical managers
• participating in the delivery process of the publications

The technical information is produced in Simplified Technical English (STE) based on technical data. As a technical communicator, you work at the interface between technical development and usage, where you translate complex technical information into clear and target-group-adapted documentation. You collaborate closely with specialists in several technical fields and gradually build a broad understanding of the systems' functions and usage.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is structured, analytical, and solution-oriented, with good communication skills. You enjoy analyzing complex information, creating structure, and transforming technical content into clear documentation. At the same time, you have the ability to see the big picture without losing focus on the details.

You are a team player who appreciates collaboration and easily adapts to different perspectives. This role suits you if you like taking personal responsibility, driving your work forward, and contributing to the development of both working methods and processes. Whether you are at the beginning of your career or have previous experience, we see great value in your curiosity, willingness to learn, and interest in technology.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• an academic education relevant to the position, for example in languages, cognitive science, or computer science
• a strong interest in technology and usability
• good problem-solving skills
• the ability to navigate and work in a complex IT environment
• very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Simplified Technical English (STE)
• S1000D
• XML-based tools for the production of technical information
• Teamcenter or similar Product Lifecycle Management systems
• JIRA and Confluence

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
