Are you a nurse with experience in oncological care? Do you want to work in our organization where we provide highly specialized care? We are now looking for a contact nurse who wants to join our team. You will work together with cheerful, competent, and secure colleagues with many years of experience in cancer care.

Within the Operations Area of Oncology and Radiation Physics, highly specialized care is provided for patients with many different diagnoses. You will primarily work as a contact nurse for patients being treated for cancer in the head and neck region, although other diagnoses also occur. The most common treatment for this patient group is external radiotherapy, but other oncological treatments may also be relevant.

There are several teams for different diagnoses on the unit, and we collaborate to provide patients with the best possible care and evidence-based management. As a contact nurse, you will be part of one of the teams. The work is characterized by close collaboration between different professions, as well as with other units within the operations area and in the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a contact nurse, you will meet with patients and their relatives throughout the treatment process and during follow-up afterwards. You participate in planning treatments and ensure the patient's influence and participation in their care. You meet with patients in connection with visits to the clinic, and the work also includes counseling and assessment via phone, symptom follow-up, as well as support for patients and relatives during and after illness and treatment.

At the clinic, we work from a person-centered approach and are looking for you who has a well-developed empathetic ability. It is important that you can meet people with care, respect, and sensitivity, and have the ability to create a sense of security in meetings with people who are in crisis in various ways.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.

It is meritorious with:

Specialist nurse education in oncological care
Education as a contact nurse
Experience in oncology
Experience with the IT systems Melior, Pasis, My Care Plan, or 1177.
