The Eating Disorders Centre has a regional mandate and offers highly specialized inpatient care, day care, and outpatient care. In total, we are about 40 people working at the eating disorders centre within the following professional categories; nurse, medical secretary, counselor, caretaker, psychologist, doctor, physiotherapist, and dietitian.

Region Skåne has received additional assignments within the framework of national highly specialized care (NHV) and for the first time, psychiatry in Skåne has also received NHV within difficult-to-treat eating disorders. Here there is long experience, high competence, and a strong drive to develop this.

DUTIES

In the role of nurse with us, you will treat patients with various types of eating disorder issues in inpatient care. You will get a challenging and stimulating job, with opportunities for competence development. At night, you have close collaboration with your colleague on the ward. Your duties include nursing tasks within inpatient care such as medication management, sample collection, support conversations, and documentation in the medical record system Melior. The work also includes somatic controls such as weight checks, pulse, and electrocardiography (ECG). In addition, you work with nursing tasks, preparations before and after meals, as well as educational meals together with the patients. The work is always based on the patient's individual needs. Our work is largely permeated by building and developing relationships with our patients. We strive for this to be a good and important support in the patient's unique change process.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are positive and proactive. You put the patient in focus and have an easy time collaborating with others, but can also work independently. In our daily life, rapid changes often occur, dealing with these and shifting to a new situation requires abilities such as overview, planning, and structure. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Regarding the formal requirements for the position, we are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. In addition, you have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. It is meritorious with specialist training in psychiatry. We also see it as an advantage if you have experience of working within psychiatry and with patients with eating disorder issues.

Within the administration, there is also vision, hearing, and deaf operations and youth clinics in Skåne.
