Do you want to combine structure, social engagement, and communication in a role where you make a tangible difference?

The Red Cross in Uppsala is now looking for a Coordinator within Organization and Influence who wants to contribute to developing operations, strengthening engagement, and driving communication forward.

With us, you will have a varied role – where you both contribute to daily work and help develop how we work long-term.

About the role

As a Coordinator within Organization and Influence, you play a driving role in developing structure, quality, and progress in our operations. You work closely with the Operations Manager, elected officials, employees, and volunteers.

You move between different perspectives – from analysis and planning to implementation and follow-up – and contribute to ensuring our efforts are cohesive and impactful.

Your main areas of responsibility

Operational Planning and Development

  • Coordinate planning, follow-up, and central processes
  • Produce analyses, reports, and decision-making materials
  • Identify development needs and drive improvements in working methods

Communication and Influence

  • Plan and implement communication and influence initiatives
  • Write and quality-assure texts (e.g., reports, opinion articles, and informational materials)
  • Formulate clear and target-group-specific messages

Engagement and Volunteer Environment

  • Contribute to the recruitment, introduction, and development of volunteers
  • Support groups and create conditions for sustainable engagement
  • Coordinate activities that strengthen participation and community

Events, Training, and Activities

  • Plan and execute events, training sessions, and campaigns
  • Ensure quality in implementation and follow-up

Administration and Organizational Support

  • Responsible for board and association administration
  • Prepare meetings, document, and follow up on decisions
  • Provide qualified support to the Operations Manager

We are looking for you who

  • Have a relevant academic degree
  • Have several years of experience in coordination, project management, or similar (approx. 5+ years)
  • Have experience in communication and preferably influence work
  • Are accustomed to coordinating multiple processes in parallel and creating structure
  • Are structured, self-reliant, and have good administrative skills
  • Are a confident and clear communicator in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
  • Have experience from the non-profit sector or civil society (meritorious)
  • Easily build relationships and engage others
  • Share the Red Cross's values

Requirements

  • Resident in Uppsala
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)
  • Ability to work on-site regularly
  • Certificate of good conduct (upon job offer)

We offer

  • Meaningful work where you contribute to tangible change
  • A role with both responsibility and the opportunity to influence how we work
  • An engaged and collaborative environment
  • A varied daily routine where you get to work broadly – from strategy to implementation

Application

We welcome you to submit your application with a CV and cover letter via the link. Selection is made on an ongoing basis.
