At our workplace, the job is about seeing opportunities – not limitations. As a Support Assistant, you will have a central role in supporting participants in their activities at the day activity centre. Our colleague will be on leave for a period, and therefore we are looking for you who want to work with us and become part of our team.

Job Responsibilities

As an employee within the day activity centre, you will participate in the daily work together with participants who have been granted the day activity service. We work according to a clarifying pedagogy that is based on making the surroundings as clear and predictable as possible.

Care tasks occur based on the participant's needs. Each participant has an individual implementation plan. Together with other staff, you are responsible for planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of the activity. The job responsibilities also include documentation, both individually and together with other staff. You are expected to participate actively in change processes and to work solution-focused from different aspects for the benefit of the participants. You should contribute to creating meaningfulness and security for our participants.

Working hours are during the day on weekdays, which means working at the day activity centre in both Förslöv, Grevie, and Västra Karup.

Qualifications

To work as a support assistant within LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), you have completed the care and nursing or child and youth program at upper secondary school, or have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Pedagogical education or experience is meritorious.

As an employee here, you work with the individual in focus, which means it is important that you are sensitive, have a good manner of dealing with people, and have the ability to take initiative. You communicate with both participants, colleagues, managers, and relatives, which means you need the ability to put yourself in someone else's situation/perspective. As a colleague, you are expected to be able to collaborate and contribute to a good work environment where all employees take responsibility and support each other.

A driver's license (manual transmission) is a requirement.
