Help shape the sustainable port of the future

Göteborgs Hamn is in the midst of a comprehensive energy transition where electrification is becoming a crucial factor for future competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainability. Our current Business Developer for Electrification is moving on to a new role within the company, and we are now looking for you to take over the baton. Here you will have a key role in shaping the energy systems of the future and contributing to the development of Scandinavia's largest port. The company currently employs around 180 people.

About the role

As Energy Systems Development Manager, you are responsible for the strategic development of electrification and energy systems. You work at the intersection of technology, business, and societal development, driving issues that are crucial for the port's future. The position belongs to the Innovation, Development and Transition department and reports to the Vice President of Innovation, Development and Transition.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and being responsible for the port's electrification strategy as well as long-term power and energy needs.
  • Identifying and developing new electrification solutions and projects that strengthen the business's efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Driving and coordinating feasibility studies, analyses, and concept development.
  • Collaborating with internal functions and external actors such as energy companies, customers, terminal operators, as well as research and innovation partners.
  • Monitoring and analyzing developments in electrification, energy systems, regulations, and support programs.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree or Master of Science in Engineering in fields such as energy, power engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent. We expect you to have at least 5 years of work experience in the energy sector.
  • Experience with electrification, energy systems, charging infrastructure, industrial processes, or related areas – in early stages.
  • Experience with data-driven work related to energy systems and electrification.
  • An interest in a holistic perspective, the ability to find new opportunities, and ensure business value in the interplay between technology, business, and societal development.
  • Good communication skills and experience collaborating with many different stakeholders.

It is an extra advantage if you have worked with:

  • Feasibility studies, innovation projects, or strategic business development.
  • Power issues, network capacity, flexibility solutions, or energy storage.
  • Digitalization, smart control, and AI solutions related to the energy transition.
  • Research projects, public support programs, or collaboration in larger ecosystems.

To succeed in the role, we want you to:

  • Take initiative, lead, and drive the work forward together with others.
  • Be analytical, structured, and curious about new solutions.
  • Enjoy collaboration and build strong relationships.
  • Be comfortable with complex issues where not all answers are available from the start.
  • Be motivated by creating long-term business and societal value.

We offer:

  • A strategic key role in the energy transition of Göteborgs Hamn.
  • The opportunity to influence electrification development at an early stage and make a real difference.
  • Great freedom, variety, and good development opportunities.
  • Collaboration with engaged colleagues and leading actors within energy and transport.
  • A workplace with high sustainability ambitions and a focus on work-life balance.
  • Competitive benefits, wellness allowances, and flexible working arrangements.
