Welcome to the Major Projects region – where you take on our largest and most complex infrastructure projects. Together, we build bridges, tunnels, ports, roads, transmission networks, and railways that make society function and bring people together. With us, visions become reality and ideas become structures that last for generations after us.
Together we are developing Sweden's power grid
Skanska has entered into an agreement with Svenska Kraftnät to develop the Swedish transmission network. The assignment includes both new construction and decommissioning of overhead lines. In total, approximately 400 kilometers of new 400 kV line will be built and approximately 300 kilometers of 220 kV line will be decommissioned. This investment provides a more flexible and robust national grid and is an important part of Sweden's energy transition. By strengthening the grid and replacing older facilities, we are creating a secure and stable electricity supply for Sweden together.
