About the role

Professionals Nord, in collaboration with our client, is looking for a Senior Technical Project Leader for their operations in Västerås.

Our client develops advanced automation and information systems for container cranes and terminals worldwide. The organization is characterized by an entrepreneurial approach where many projects are customized for the client, and employees have significant influence over both technical choices and working methods.

In this role, you will join after the sales phase and be responsible for translating customer requirements into a clear technical delivery.

You will work closely with customers, the sales organization, engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure that the project scope is defined early, that activities are planned and monitored, and that the delivery meets set goals regarding time, quality, and functionality.

You will initially be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant for our client during the first year. The goal is a long-term solution where you may eventually become a direct employee of the client. Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Project Leader, you will:

• Be responsible for the technical delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle
• Understand and specify customer needs, ensuring the project scope is defined and anchored early on
• Structure and break down system architecture into clear activities and work packages
• Create and monitor project plans, coordinating activities across different technical disciplines
• Lead technical discussions with customers, internal stakeholders, and the commissioning organization
• Manage technical risks and ensure deliveries meet requirements for functionality, quality, and cybersecurity
• Contribute to the development of working methods, documentation, and project management

We are looking for someone who

• Has a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in fields such as automation, computer science, electronics, or equivalent
• Has several years of experience in technical project management within software, automation, or complex system deliveries
• Has experience planning, prioritizing, and driving activities in a project environment
• Has a good understanding of PLC-based systems or other industrial automation
• Has experience working with gate processes or similar project models
• Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English
