Lyten Labs is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a specialization in automated industrial (battery) production equipment and utilities. As an Electrical Engineer for Facilities, Utilities & Equipment, you will own and develop the electrical infrastructure that powers Lyten’s facilities, utilities, and production equipment. You will deliver safe, available, and energy-efficient systems that support pilot-line manufacturing (mixing, coating, calendaring, assembly, and formation & aging) and on-site validation labs.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
- Engineer and maintain LV/MV distribution (switchgear, transformers, UPS) and earthing/bonding for production, labs, and offices.
- Specify, review, and commission power distribution to pilot lines and utilities (e.g., dry rooms, HVAC, process cooling, vacuum) with correct protection, short-circuit ratings, and risk controls.
- Ensure designs and installations comply with applicable EU/SE directives. Support ATEX-related interfaces where applicable.
- Define electrical PM strategies for utilities and safety systems (fire detection interfaces, E-stops, interlocks).
- Implement energy-efficient equipment to support Lyten’s sustainability model.
- Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and change control of equipment related to electrical design. Maintain as-built electrical documentation of equipment.
- Collaborate with the Automation team to ensure safe integration of equipment interlocks and parameter/recipe control via SCADA/PLC with proper electrical segregation and safety relays.
- Manage OEMs and partners, define specifications, review line diagrams, I/O lists, load lists, and test protocols. Ensure deliverables meet standards.
- Set and maintain the self-inspection program for electrical works.
- Establish electrical condition monitoring and power-quality dashboards.
- Drive structured RCA’s for electrical incidents and implement preventive actions.
- Maintain traceability and change records.
- Contribute to the energy and uptime KPIs for the Labs.
- Support and collaborate with project teams to select the most proficient equipment suppliers from an electronics/electrical systems perspective.
- Responsible for acceptance of the Site Acceptance Tests of equipment upon commissioning completion.
- Organize and take part in internal training and workshops.
- Cost estimations for projects and change requests. Provide input for quoting, planning works, and change orders.

- A-Authorization according to Swedish Electrical Authorization (either Swedish or via recognition of foreign qualifications).
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated competence in LV/MV systems, protection coordination, arc-flash mitigation, and earthing/EMC for both office and production environments.

- Ability to travel to different Lyten factories and to supplier visits.
Specific skills & Knowledge
- Compliance with requirements of Swedish directives and European Directives and relevant ISO, IEC, and safety standards (SEK Svensk Elstandard framework, Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive, Machinery Directive, ATEX).
