The role includes:
- Planning, implementing, and adapting teaching based on the student's needs
- Working preventively and de-escalating in situations that may become challenging
- Strengthening the student's ability to participate and self-regulate
- Collaborating closely with colleagues, student health services, and guardians
You will not work alone but will be part of a team focused on the student.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a teacher's degree or a special needs teacher's degree, along with a valid teaching license. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of low-affective handling and other evidence-based working methods.
You have experience working with students in need of special support. Through an inclusive and solution-focused approach, you create structure, clarity, and predictability in teaching, contributing to a secure learning environment where every student is given the conditions to develop according to their individual needs.
It is an advantage if you have experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPV/NPD) and in teaching in adapted learning environments. We would appreciate it if you have knowledge of how teaching and learning environments can be designed to meet students' different needs and create good conditions for learning and development.
You are a secure and professional person who remains calm even in challenging and pressurized situations. You build trusting relationships with students while setting clear boundaries and maintaining a consistent approach. You work reflectively and solution-focused, and have good collaboration skills. Through a non-hierarchical collaboration, you contribute to a shared responsibility for the student's development and well-being.
