Job Responsibilities

At Sundsbroskolan, we are now looking for a primary school teacher for after-school care (fritidshem) with a focus on Physical Education and Health! You will join our work team at the after-school center among the younger children and become part of a wonderful group striving for the best school experience for every student! As a primary school teacher for after-school care with us, you will plan and conduct teaching and assess students in our after-school center. Based on the curriculum and regulatory documents, we create a secure environment in the after-school center aimed at strengthening our students in both their knowledge development and personal growth, while providing them with a meaningful leisure time. In the after-school center, we also strive to promote diverse interactions, social cohesion, and strengthen group relationships. While our students are in school, you will collaborate with our school staff, and it may also become relevant for you to conduct teaching in one or more subjects during the students' school hours. Together, we create an activity that meets the needs of our students and guardians in the best possible way, based on their individual needs!

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for after-school care, with a focus on sports. Previous experience in the profession is meritorious. You have good insight and knowledge of the regulatory documents for after-school care and apply these in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills that enable you to independently lead and organize your work to create a calm study environment and a good learning environment for our students throughout the day. Your teaching is modern, and you develop your work based on evidence-based research. With good knowledge and experience, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools. To fit as a primary school teacher for after-school care with us, it is important that you can interact with colleagues and students, work systematically, are flexible, and enjoy developing the after-school center together with colleagues and students.

Sundsbroskolan is located in Bunkeflostrand and is a grades 1-6 school with approximately 510 students, often described as "the school in the middle of the village." At the school, we have a secure and inclusive environment where everyone feels pride, learns together, grows through responsibility, and success. We have chosen to deepen our focus on reading in both school and after-school care to long-term create functional reading skills and increase the joy of reading among students.
