RESPONSIBILITIES

The position involves working as a teacher in mathematics and natural sciences (NO) for grades 7-9 at Snapphaneskolan in Knislinge, a school covering grades 4-9. The position also includes a shared mentorship role for grade 9.

Snapphaneskolan has a wonderful collegium comprising various professions. We have teachers, a special needs educator, and three special education teachers who together take responsibility for our students' education. We have a school nurse, two school counselors, and two social pedagogues divided between grades 4-6 and grades 7-9, who, together with other staff, work to ensure our students are well. School wardens, study guides, resource persons, and study and career counselors are other professions you will encounter at our school. We have a student health team that meets every week, including the principal, deputy principal, special needs educator, school psychologist, school nurse, counselor, and social pedagogues. In addition to the professions mentioned above, there is naturally also an administrator at the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are certified in Mathematics/Natural Sciences for ages 7-9, with broader qualifications being meritorious. You see laboratory work as an important part of your teaching.

As a teacher, you are a skilled pedagogue with good didactic abilities. You can organize and structure your work based on set goals. You have good self-insight, are confident in yourself and in your pedagogical leadership, and have a good ability to exercise this leadership. You have high expectations of the students, believe that everyone can succeed, and are willing to create the best conditions for this. You find it easy to collaborate and see cooperation with others as a source of development. You also express yourself well both orally and in writing, and documentation is therefore no obstacle. You have a professional demeanor in your interactions with students and guardians while being receptive and patient.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities with a focus on leadership, social competence, and initiative.
