About the role

Bergslagens Artillery Regiment consists of four units: the regimental staff, the logistics unit (LogE), the garrison unit (GarnE), and the Bergslags Battalion. We are now looking for an engaged case handler for the Bergslags Battalion staff. The battalion staff consists of approximately 10 career officers tasked with creating prerequisites for the two training companies located at the battalion. The staff is divided into the following sections: personnel, execution, logistics, planning/exercise, and communications.

Main responsibilities

The position is new, and the need is significant. Your role as a case handler at the battalion staff is focused on follow-up, personnel services, and administration. You will be supervised by the battalion chief of staff and support the various sections.

Your duties include, among other things:

  • Leading administrative follow-up regarding economy, personnel, and working environment.
  • Responsible for preparing background materials, minutes, compilations, and reports.
  • Acting as the battalion's representative in support systems (Vidar and PRIO).
  • Serving as commandant during exercise activities, which involves planning and booking accommodation, meals, transport, etc.
  • Participating in physical training, either independently or in groups.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Completed upper secondary education.
  • Experience in providing administrative support or other employment considered equivalent by the employer.
  • Very good computer skills, advanced level in Office.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
  • Category B driver's license.
  • Swedish citizenship.

Merits

  • Completed conscription or other service in the Swedish Armed Forces.
  • Experience with the Swedish Armed Forces' support systems PRIO and Vidar.
  • Experience in administrative work within a government agency.

Other information

  • The position is civilian.
  • The employment is a permanent full-time position, starting with a six-month probationary period for applicants not currently employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.
  • Start date according to agreement.
  • Individual salary setting applies.
  • The workplace is in Kristinehamn.
  • The work involves domestic business travel and occasional overnight stays.
  • Working conditions are usually a 40-hour work week, but may occur at irregular times, e.g., during exercises.
  • You will be war-placed in your position.

Bergslagens Artillery Regiment (A 9) is therefore being re-established in Kristinehamn. The regiment will contribute to increased geographical presence, training of conscripts, and the development of artillery capability in southern Sweden.
