Your role

The role of social secretary within financial assistance is significant and multifaceted. In dialogue with the client, you work to find a solution for the unique individual. You often meet people in crisis and with complex life situations. In your work, you collaborate with other units within the district administration and external partners.

Your main tasks include:

• Investigate and make decisions regarding financial assistance.
• Motivate towards self-sufficiency.
• Collaborate with internal and external actors.
• Use the investigation tool Initial Assessment (IB) FIA, FREDA short questions.
• We place great emphasis on the use of MI (Motivational Interviewing), BIP, Signs of Safety, and the team-based approach.

Your competence and experience

For this position, it is required that you have:

• A degree in Social Work (Social Work degree)

We consider it meritorious if you have experience of:

• Work within financial assistance
• Work within other public authority administration
• MI (Motivational Interviewing)

To thrive in the role, you have good collaboration skills as the work involves many internal and external contacts. You are relationship-building and have the ability to meet people in different life situations. You are independent in your professional role and confident in making decisions. You have the ability to take initiative and can prioritize in your work. You are structured in your approach and enjoy documentation and administration which make up a large part of the work. We place great emphasis on your personal skills and your commitment to the position.
