About the workplace

Kila is located in the southern part of Sala Municipality and is a community close to forests and nature.

In Kila, there is a school with approximately 110 students from preschool class to year 6. The school premises also include a leisure-time center and a sports hall. The school has a large playground with a football field, large grassy areas, a sandbox, climbing frames, swings, etc. The proximity to forests and nature gives us access to large outdoor classrooms. We are now looking for a teaching assistant for one of our students.

Responsibilities

The work involves:

• being an additional resource so that the student has the same conditions as others to develop and follow the teaching
• supporting the student's participation in peer life and the school's other activities with both independence and goals.

Furthermore, we expect you to stay updated in the field and apply current regulatory documents for the operation in your daily work. Documentation is included if needed.

The work with us includes close collaboration with the student's guardians, the student's teachers, leisure-time staff, and the network around the student.

Qualifications

You should have completed the Child and Youth Program at upper secondary school or equivalent.

Meritorious is if you have experience of:

• working with children and young people with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses
• working with visual supports
• working in schools
• computer literacy
• working with digital aids.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as personal maturity, teamwork skills, and the ability to be structured.

Employment terms

Fixed-term employment for approx. 75%.

Start date: 2026-08-12 to 2027-06-09 or as agreed.

Individual salary setting.

Requirement of a police certificate upon offer of employment.
