Ängshagans School is located in the southern part of Sala town center and is a safe and appreciated school where both students and staff thrive. The school is close to nature, which provides excellent opportunities for varied and engaging teaching. The school has nearly 200 students from preschool class through grade 6, as well as an after-school center with approximately 110 children.

Job Description

We offer a temporary position (75–100%) where you will teach wood and metal crafts, as well as home economics and consumer studies. The craft subject involves teaching in grades 3–6, while home economics and consumer studies are taught in grade 6. The scope and exact structure of the position can be adapted based on your qualifications and/or competence.

You will work closely with a qualified craft teacher who teaches textile crafts, in close collaboration with other colleagues in the work team. You will actively work on student participation and motivation, creating a secure and structured learning environment.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to be structured, flexible, solution-focused, and confident in working both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has a teaching license with eligibility in crafts and/or home economics and consumer studies. Alternatively, other relevant education or experience.
• has experience from working in schools.
• is confident in your classroom leadership.
• naturally and effectively uses digital tools in your work.

As a person, you are responsible, structured, and clear, while also being flexible and having a strong solution focus. You build good relationships, collaborate well with others, and have good knowledge of the school's governing documents. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Employment Terms

Temporary position at 75–100%.

Start date by agreement.

Fixed-term employment from 10/8/2026 (or by agreement), latest until 18/12/2026.

Probationary period may apply.

Individual salary setting applies.

Requirement for a certificate of conduct upon offer of employment. This is according to the Act on Register Control in School, After-School, and Preschool Activities. The Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register, RPS 442.5 (14-01-14).
