Teacher for Adapted Primary School, Grades 1–2
1 position(s).
At our school, you will be part of a stable and egalitarian collegium with strong camaraderie and extensive experience. We work to develop language skills, learn from each other, and create a safe environment where both students and staff can grow. Welcome to us!
Your Responsibilities
In the role of teacher with us, you will teach grades 1-2 in our adapted primary school. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching based on each student's needs and prerequisites. In your daily work, you use sign support, digital aids, and low-affective interaction. You collaborate closely with other teachers, student assistants, and the student health team.
Since this school form is new to us, you will have the opportunity to help shape the operations from the ground up. Together, we will develop working methods, structures, and learning environments that create the best conditions for our students!
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach in grades F-3. If you are also trained as a special needs teacher/special educator, we see this as an advantage. You have experience working in an adapted primary school and are driven by a strong commitment to meeting students' individual needs. With security and engagement, you build good relationships with students and guardians. You play an important role in developing the operations together with the work team, and if you have previously had a coordinating role or been a team leader, this is an asset.
What We Offer
Here you will meet a warm and egalitarian workplace, a small school with great commitment!
At Norra Vallbyskolan, there is solid knowledge and a stable team that values knowledge exchange and a family atmosphere. We take joint responsibility for our students' well-being and place great emphasis on the relationship between school and home. The new school form that we are introducing this autumn creates a new exciting development phase for us. You will belong to a small work team of five employees and work in a new modern school building.
Here you become part of something bigger! With warmth and respect, we show initiative in both big and small matters. We live our core values in our meetings with each other and those we serve. Every day, all year round, we ensure that Västerås functions. Together with your approx. 11,500 colleagues around the city, you will have Sweden's most important job.
