In the autumn of 2026, we are looking for an engaged and driven special needs teacher/special educator who holds qualifications as a special needs teacher in their teaching license or is currently undergoing training, as well as a teacher qualified in art. The position as a special needs teacher/pedagogue is 50%, and the art teaching position is 50%. These positions can be combined into a 100% role or split into two separate 50% positions based on personal preferences.

The role of special needs teacher/special educator involves assessment responsibilities for students in need of special support, as well as writing, monitoring, and evaluating action plans. The duties also include follow-up and support for teachers related to their teaching.

You need to have knowledge regarding learning and behavioral issues among students, be able to adapt your approach, and possess knowledge about assessment based on the student's age and developmental level. Advanced knowledge of reading and writing difficulties and neuropsychiatric disabilities is required. You must also have knowledge about students in need of special support and experience working with children and young people requiring special support.

The art teaching position involves teaching art as well as our aesthetic profile in art, together with the craft teacher. Students have two hours per week in art as part of the school's elective subjects. This is an in-depth study in art and crafts, and admission is determined by a skills test. Each academic year, our aesthetic profiles create a performance together, where the art profile is responsible for the scenery by creating backdrops, props, costumes, and posters.

Entréskolan is an aesthetic primary school for grades 4–9 with creative production based on aesthetic forms of expression. Entréskolan is located in Västerås, Stockholm, Eskilstuna, and Örebro. We offer four aesthetic profiles: theater, music, dance, and art. Admission to each profile is determined by a skills test.

Entréskolan is characterized by a cross-curricular approach where theoretical subjects are integrated with aesthetic subjects. We are looking for you who have previous experience working as a special needs teacher/art teacher for middle and/or upper secondary school. As a teacher at Entréskolan, it is important that you thrive in a role where collaboration is a central part. We would appreciate it if you had good IT skills, as a large part of the work is done using digital tools. All students in the class have access to their own computer used at school. As a person, you thrive in a role where you have significant personal responsibility and the opportunity to take many initiatives, but also listen to and collaborate with others. You are creative and eager to come up with new ideas and approaches.

The position can be adjusted between part-time and full-time depending on personal preferences.
