This autumn 2026, we are looking for an engaged and driven teacher with qualifications in Art, as well as a special needs teacher/special educator who holds special needs teacher certification in their teaching license or is currently undergoing training. The position as a special needs teacher/pedagogue is 50%, and the position in Art is 50%. These positions can be combined into a 100% role or split into two separate 50% positions based on personal preferences.

The role as an Art teacher involves teaching Art and our aesthetic profile in Art, in collaboration with the craft teacher. Students have two hours per week of Art as part of the school's elective subjects. This is an in-depth study in Art and Crafts, and admission is determined through a skills test. Each academic year, our aesthetic profiles collaborate to create a performance where the Art profile is responsible for the scenography by creating backdrops, props, costumes, and posters.

The role as a special needs teacher/special educator entails assessment responsibilities for students in need of special support, as well as writing, monitoring, and evaluating action plans. The duties also include follow-up and support for teachers related to their teaching.

You need to have knowledge regarding learning and behavioral issues among students, be able to adapt your approach, and possess knowledge about assessment based on the student's age and developmental level. You are required to have in-depth knowledge of reading and writing difficulties and neuropsychiatric disabilities. You must also have knowledge about students in need of special support and experience working with children and young people requiring special support.

Entréskolan is an aesthetic comprehensive school for grades 4–9, focusing on creative expression through aesthetic forms. Entréskolan is located in Västerås, Stockholm, Eskilstuna, and Örebro. We offer four aesthetic profiles: theater, music, dance, and art. Admission to each profile is conducted through a skills test.

We are looking for someone with previous experience working as a special needs teacher/Art teacher for middle and/or upper secondary school. As a teacher at Entréskolan, it is important that you thrive in a role where collaboration is central. We would appreciate it if you had good IT skills, as a large part of the work is done using digital tools. All students in the class have access to their own computer used at school. As a person, you thrive in a position where you have significant personal responsibility and the opportunity to take many initiatives, but you can also listen and collaborate with others. You are creative and eager to bring new ideas and approaches.
