Driven by individual needs and desires, Homsan operates several day activities in the Stockholm area for individuals covered by the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). One of these is Homsan Scen och Film (Stage and Film) in Farsta, located within walking distance of commuter train and subway stations.
Homsan Scen & Film is a day activity program for people who enjoy creative expression. Participants here can work with various forms of expression such as theater, music, and arts and crafts. Here, everyone has the opportunity to use their artistic side, and we focus on community and joy. In addition to activities within creation, singing, and theater, we also offer activities that stimulate physical activity, movement, outdoor visits, and social interaction.
We are now looking for a work instructor with coordination responsibilities. The position is primarily that of a work instructor, and you will work largely together with other colleagues in the work group.
As a work instructor, you work extensively with pedagogical support and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). With your approach, you will create a safe and structured day for the participants.
It is a significant plus if you have a personal interest or knowledge in areas such as singing, music, theater, or creative arts.
The coordination role also includes a coordinating responsibility, meaning you support the staff group in developing the operations according to the organization's plan, goals, and profile. You follow up on areas of responsibility and are responsible for ongoing schedule adjustments and staffing in the operation. You report to the Operations Manager and have a collegial collaboration with other coordinators.
The staff group consists of five work instructors and one coordinator, with close leadership from an Operations Manager.
We are looking for someone who is calm and secure, has a strong sense of responsibility, enjoys working with our target group, and thrives both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. You are stimulated by development work, have a great interest in people, and are eager to contribute to our important work: creating a structured, meaningful, and developmental daily life for the participants.
During the recruitment process, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. Employment begins as agreed and starts with a six-month probationary period.
Requirements:
- Basic education in healthcare and social care or pedagogy
- Knowledge and experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and with intellectual disabilities
- Experience with clarifying pedagogy and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Experience working with low-arousal approaches
- Previous experience with LSS and day activities is preferred
- Good proficiency in Swedish (spoken and written)
- We prefer candidates with previous experience in a coordinator role or similar
- It is also an advantage if you have experience with scheduling and staffing and feel confident handling various systems
What we offer:
- Work in an established company with good knowledge of LSS and day activities
- Wellness allowance
- Collective agreement through Almega/Healthcare Employers
- Close proximity to management and leadership
Please read more on our website www.homsan.se (http://www.homsan.se). Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
Please mark your application with "Stage and Film".
