Your new job

As a Support Pedagogue, you work based on decisions made under the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments (LSS). Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for ensuring that our citizens receive the support they need to live as independent, meaningful, and high-quality lives as possible.

You work with a pedagogical and motivational approach, focusing on strengthening the individual's independence, motivation, and development. The tasks vary and may include:

• Personal care
• Medication management
• Support in daily life and household maintenance

The work is based on each individual's conditions, needs, and wishes, with participation and quality of life at the center.

The role also includes:

• Actively working as a contact person
• Creating and following up on implementation plans
• Responsible for social documentation

As a Support Pedagogue, you play a central role in the operations, where you support, guide, and develop the pedagogical work within the work group. You contribute your specialist knowledge regarding methods, working approaches, and legislation, and drive development forward together with your colleagues.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary specialization in the disability area with a pedagogical focus (minimum 200 YH credits or 60 HP, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer)
• Experience working with individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPD/ADHD/Autism) and/or psychiatric functional impairments
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension
• Experience with MI (Motivational Interviewing), ESL (Evidence-Based Practice), evidence-based methods, and low-affective approach
• A valid B-driver's license for manual transmission is required

It is meritorious if you:

• Have previously worked as a Support Pedagogue
• Have had a central role in method support work

You are proactive, flexible, and maintain a stable approach even in challenging situations. You collaborate well, communicate clearly, and work in a structured and efficient manner. You have good pedagogical skills, contribute to the quality work of the operations, and enjoy sharing the responsibility in the role of Support Pedagogue with a colleague. Welcome to us

Sörbo Group Housing is located in Barnarp. A total of 12 citizens live there. The group housing is divided over two floors, with 6 apartments on each floor. The citizens have various mental functional impairments with varying needs for support, which can fluctuate depending on their daily condition and well-being. The staff group consists of 11 people, of whom 3 work night shifts and the others work day/evening/weekends.

Good to know

This recruitment is for a permanent full-time position with a start date as agreed upon. Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, weekdays and weekends. Jönköping Municipality aims for full-time work as the norm and always offers 100% employment. We work with joint planning, which means working with multiple citizens may become relevant. We conduct continuous selection and interviews during the recruitment process.
