About the Role

We are currently looking for a midwife to join our team. Are you the one who is particularly passionate about providing good, close care for women and families living in rural areas? At Långshyttan Health Centre, you will work in a team with district doctors, physiotherapists, assistant nurses, secretaries, and talk therapists to provide good and safe care with the patient in focus.

Långshyttan Health Centre is located in Hedemora Municipality and has approximately 5,400 registered patients. Here, district doctors, trainee doctors, nurses, district nurses, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, talk therapists, and medical secretaries work together. The health centre includes a child health centre (BVC) and a mother health centre (MVC). We also have a district nurse clinic, an assistant nurse clinic, a doctor's clinic, a laboratory, rehabilitation services, and a talk therapy clinic.

We are a small health centre with a big heart in the countryside, prioritizing the transition to good, close care by working in teams focused on patient needs.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities involve meeting women and families throughout their lives and offering services such as maternal health care, contraceptive counseling, gynecological cell sampling, STI testing, and parental support.

As a midwife with us, you will work independently and in close collaboration with the Child Health Centre (BVC) and other professions.

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Gynecological health checks
• Telephone counseling
• Maternal health care and pregnancy checks
• Gynecological cell sampling
• Contraceptive counseling
• STI testing and counseling

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed midwife

It is an advantage if you:

• have experience working at a midwife clinic within primary care

Personal qualities:

You are careful and responsible. You have good initiative and planning skills. You are flexible and enjoy collaborating with various professional categories. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability, including good teamwork and a positive attitude towards patients and colleagues.
