We are looking for a primary school teacher qualified to teach grades 1–6 in wood and metal crafts (trä- och metallslöjd) and physical education and health (idrott och hälsa).

About Skiftingehus

Skiftingehus is an F–9 school (pre-school class to grade 9) with 580 wonderful students, located approximately 3 km from the city center. We have good bus connections and ample parking opportunities near the school. Our school has undergone a complete renovation over the past three years, meaning all facilities are beautifully updated to meet the specific needs of each profession.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will teach both physical education and health, as well as wood and metal crafts for grades 1–6. As a teacher, you adapt your instruction based on grade level and the students' varying knowledge levels and prerequisites. You plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching in accordance with the current curriculum. You collaborate with other teachers at the school to ensure students develop both socially and academically.

We have a gymnasium at the school, and for those who enjoy outdoor activities, we offer great opportunities for physical education lessons in nature.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching degree with qualification to teach physical education and wood and metal crafts in grades 1–6. Alternatively, you may be completing your education shortly. It is highly meritorious if you have experience in practical work based on the LGR22 curriculum in wood and metal crafts and/or physical education.

As a person, you are welcoming, courageous, and curious about students, colleagues, learning situations, and challenges. You have an appreciative attitude and are a clear leader who can adapt your leadership style to the situation. You are skilled at building relationships, have good collaboration skills, and take a holistic view of the students' school situation. Additionally, you are flexible and can adapt your teaching to meet the diverse needs and backgrounds of students.
