You will join the planning unit within the Community Development Administration, which consists of urban planners, overview planners, land development specialists, and GIS and mapping functions. We are a small, tight-knit group that supports each other and enjoys a friendly atmosphere in a beautiful working environment at Björkegrenska Manor.

Responsibilities

In your role as an Urban Planner/Architect, you will contribute to creating well-designed living environments by leading detailed planning projects, taking responsibility for progress, schedules, budgets, and quality. The role involves coordinating investigations and materials related to architecture, traffic, sustainability, and producing planning documents that contribute to robust and sustainable development.

You will communicate both internally within the administration and externally with developers/clients.

As an Urban Planner/Architect, you play a key role in the municipality's physical planning. In addition to detailed planning, you may also be responsible for handling official inquiries, participating in working groups for overview planning, strategic planning, etc.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• An education in physical planning and/or urban planning, or other relevant education.
• A few years of experience in detailed planning within the public sector, including experience working in a politically governed organization.
• Proficiency in Focus Detaljplan, Adobe programs, and the Office suite.
• Very good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act (Plan- och bygglagen).

In your role, you will:

• Be accustomed to arguing for your decisions with well-founded reasons while maintaining a solution-oriented approach.
• Have a curious and exploratory working style, viewing the planning process as a practical tool for solving complex issues and creating consensus.
• Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Be relationship-focused and committed to contributing to a good working environment within the team.
