Your Role

We are now looking for a Strategic Buyer for our Sourcing & Supply area, where you will become part of the Aftermarket section. The role is based in Tannefors, Linköping, but you are expected to be flexible and work from our offices in Malmslätt and Nyköping as needed.

Sourcing & Supply in Linköping currently consists of approximately 60 employees, distributed across four sections: Aftermarket, Projects, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality. The purchasing team is responsible for developing strategies and action plans for each supplier, in close collaboration with logistics and planning functions, among others.

As a Strategic Buyer within Aftermarket, you own the relationship with your suppliers. By building and developing long-term collaborations, you contribute to ensuring continued operation and airworthiness for both our own and our customers' products. You play a key role and lead internal purchasing teams to achieve optimal decisions and actions related to our customer commitments within the maintenance and upgrade of aircraft and helicopters.

The role is characterized by significant personal responsibility and many contact points, both internally and externally. You work closely with business and delivery managers, which creates short decision-making paths and a strong sense of involvement.

Sourcing & Supply is in a clear growth phase, where we continuously develop our ways of working to meet an aftermarket with high demands for reliability and cost-effectiveness. You will therefore have good opportunities to influence and contribute to the development of both processes, tools, and ways of working, in one of Saab's most dynamic purchasing functions.

Your Profile

Do you have a university degree or at least three years of experience in strategic purchasing in an international environment, as well as experience in negotiation and contract writing? And are you driven by building strong and long-term relationships? Then this might be the role for you.

To succeed in the role, you have very good business English and experience working with purchasing, sales, and preferably logistics. You have strong analytical skills, clear drive, and thrive working both independently and in teams. Working towards set goals and schedules is a natural part of your daily routine.

As a person, you are communicative and have a natural ability to create, develop, and maintain relationships and networks. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
