Your Role

Within Saab's Business Area Aeronautics, in the Aviation Services business unit, we are now looking for a new colleague as a Strategic Buyer. You will be part of the team within the Sourcing & Supply area and specifically belong to the Aftermarket section, based in Linköping. Today, the Sourcing & Supply area in Linköping consists of approximately 60 people divided into four sections: Aftermarket, Projects, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality. The purchasing team develops strategies and action plans for each supplier in collaboration with technical managers and project management.

As a Strategic Buyer within the Aftermarket section, you own the relationship with many of the largest suppliers in the aviation industry. By building and nurturing long-term relationships with our suppliers, you will contribute to securing the lifecycle of our products. You are a key player and lead the internal purchasing teams towards the most optimal decisions and actions to fulfill our commitments to customers regarding the maintenance and upgrade of their aircraft.

The role is characterized by significant personal responsibility and many contact points – both internally and externally. You will have direct contact with parts of Saab's sales organization and our design organization, which creates short decision-making paths and a strong sense of involvement. Our Sourcing & Supply area is in a strong growth phase, and we are constantly developing our working methods to meet an aftermarket that requires reliable and cost-conscious support. You will therefore belong to one of the most dynamic purchasing functions at Saab, where you will also be able to contribute to the development of our tools and working methods.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who thrive in and have experience working in dynamic environments. As a person, you are goal-oriented, driven, and structured with a strong ability to deliver results according to set goals and schedules. You have an analytical mind and excellent communication skills. Furthermore, you are passionate about building and nurturing strong relationships, as well as continuously maintaining your network. At the same time, you work just as securely and efficiently independently as in a team. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

We also look for you to have:

• A university or college degree in a relevant field, or alternatively at least 3 years of experience in strategic purchasing work in an international environment.
• Documented experience in negotiations, contract writing, purchasing, sales, and/or logistics.
• Very good business English skills, both spoken and written.
