We are looking for a tenured university lecturer in nursing science for a permanent position at the Department of Health Sciences, Örebro University.

About Us

The Department of Health Sciences (HV) offers education at undergraduate and advanced levels in the Nursing Programme and six Specialist Nurse Programmes. Research in the field of nursing is conducted with a focus on human health and learning within various research groups, concentrating on patients of all ages and their relatives, professional development, as well as method and theory development. We are seeking a tenured university lecturer who is a licensed nurse with competence in oncological nursing. This position is part of a long-term initiative to build our academic capacity in teaching and research to meet future needs.

In the autumn of 2025, the implementation of a new Nursing Programme at Örebro University began. The new programme places increased emphasis on clinical and academic competence, with closer collaboration with regional and municipal healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

As a university lecturer, you will primarily focus on teaching at the undergraduate level, as well as related collaboration. A university lecturer should also contribute to the development of the university.

The responsibilities of a tenured university lecturer primarily include teaching in the Nursing Programme, although teaching at the advanced level in the Specialist Nurse Programmes may occur. Duties related to teaching may include, among other things, course responsibility, examination, planning, assessments, supervision, evaluation, and administration. You are also expected to conduct research and development work, participate in competence development, and follow knowledge development within the current subject area.
