We are now looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher within the group for Organic Photonics and Nanooptics at the Laboratory for Organic Electronics.
About the job
The position involves research in optics and materials, with a particular focus on nanooptical studies of conducting polymers. The role entails experimental work, such as fabrication, characterization, and measurements of nanostructured surfaces of conducting polymers. The work also includes optical simulations, as well as the preparation of manuscripts and reports. Additionally, the position may involve supervising doctoral students.
About you
We are looking for someone with suitable research qualifications and the ability and willingness to lead independent research work within the project. You are a good collaborator and can communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
We require you to have:
- A PhD or equivalent degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or another relevant subject
- A proven track record of conducting high-quality scientific research in a relevant field
The following qualifications are meritorious:
- Experience in optical studies of nanostructured conducting polymers
- Experience in optical simulations
- Experience in nanofabrication (electron beam lithography)
- Experience with other relevant scientific equipment and measurement methods
- Experience in result analysis and physical modeling
Your workplace
You will work at the Laboratory for Organic Electronics (LOE), within the group for Organic Photonics and Nanooptics. At LOE, we study electronically and ionically conducting organic materials in a range of areas spanning energy harvesting, printed electronics, photonics, and bioelectronics. Within the group for Organic Photonics and Nanooptics, we focus specifically on the study of organic materials such as conducting polymers and cellulose for the development of new optical concepts, such as tunable metasurfaces and systems with controllable thermal radiation.

About the appointment
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, full-time.
Start date according to agreement.
