About the Job
The position involves studies where we measure autoantibodies in blood in various inflammatory kidney diseases. This is done in collaboration with SciLifeLab at KTH, using a new methodology established there called proteome-wide autoantibody profiling. Material from a patient cohort from Linköping has been examined and will continue to be analyzed prior to publication. Another larger study using the same methodology is planned. The new project is named "Autoantibody profiling to identify candidate biomarkers in vasculitis and glomerular disease (AUTOVASC)" and will be conducted in Sweden with sample collections from four Swedish universities, but led from Linköping. Interest in inflammatory kidney diseases and new potential autoantibodies is a growing research field, not least because it can contribute to better treatment strategies. You will conduct experiments, analyze and present results, which also includes handling clinical data and writing manuscripts.
You should be interested in conducting research within the projects described above.
About You
We are looking for someone who is independent, proactive, structured, and meticulous in their work. You are motivated to learn new things and working methods, have good communication skills, and work well in teams. You have very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English.
We want you to have:
- A PhD degree in biomedicine or a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a PhD in a relevant field.
