About the Job

Your responsibilities will consist of theoretical simulations and calculations of the properties and stability of disordered materials, based on quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, and solid-state physics. In particular, you will work on developing and implementing models for magnetically disordered materials, defects in materials with high critical temperatures for superconductivity, as well as method development in the field of theory for disordered materials.

About You

You must hold a PhD in theoretical physics, theoretical materials science, or a related field. You should also have experience from post-doctoral research in the area of simulating disordered materials and be familiar with modeling methods for calculating magnetically disordered materials and alloys. Additionally, you should have experience participating in applications for supercomputing resources and research funding, and be able to communicate fluently in English.

Your Workplace

You will work at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (IFM) within the Division of Theoretical Physics, placed in the Unit for Theory of Disordered Materials. There, you will collaborate with other researchers in the unit and division to solve complex materials theory problems.

About the Employment

Permanent position, full-time. Probationary period will apply.

Start date according to agreement.
