About the Job
As a Research Assistant in Inorganic Materials Chemistry, you will conduct research on thin-film deposition using CVD techniques, with a specific focus on surface chemistry activated by plasma electrons. The focus will be on depositing metals for electrical connections in semiconductor chips.
About You
We are looking for someone who is curious about materials research at the interface between chemistry and physics and wants to develop and understand new CVD techniques.
We require you to have:
- A Master's degree in Chemistry
- Experience working in a research laboratory
- Experience with CVD where surface chemistry is activated by plasma electrons
- Experience with in situ characterization of CVD processes
The following qualifications are meritorious:
- Experience studying and working in an international environment
- Previous scientific publications
Your Workplace
The Department of Chemistry conducts research as well as undergraduate and graduate education in chemistry. Of particular importance for this position is thin-film deposition, which is an internationally recognized part of the research at Linköping University. The Department of Chemistry, through the research group in inorganic chemistry, conducts high-level international research on thin-film deposition using ALD and CVD.
