Driven by seeing your ideas come to life? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.
Your Role
As an Electronics Design Engineer at Saab Training & Simulation, you will become a key part of the development of advanced training systems used to create realistic and effective training environments. Our operations combine several technical fields to deliver solutions that enhance user capabilities worldwide, and you will contribute directly to shaping these future systems.
In this role, you work on designs that must function in demanding and varied environments, where reliability and performance are crucial. Together with experienced colleagues, you work broadly across both analog and digital, as well as wired and wireless systems. You are involved throughout the entire development chain – from requirements definition and technology selection to system architecture, CAD design, testing, verification, and documentation.
You belong to the Product Development Department and are part of a small, cohesive team with overall responsibility for electronic designs. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other functions and within the framework of both customer and development projects, where verification in real-world environments may be part of the work.
The working style is characterized by openness, collaboration, and a strong focus on technical development. Here, there are great opportunities to influence, take initiative, and contribute to both technical solutions and improved working methods.
Your Profile
We are looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer with a strong interest in technology and a desire to continue developing. A university degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or equivalent is a prerequisite, along with a solid background in electronics design, both analog and digital.
Experience with CAD tools as well as testing and verification of electronic systems is important, as is a habit of taking responsibility throughout the entire development process. Confidence in technical decisions and the ability to contribute to discussions regarding system architecture and solution design are seen as central parts of the role.
As a person, you are structured, analytical, and driven, with a high awareness of quality. Good teamwork skills, a trustworthy demeanor, and a willingness to share knowledge contribute to a positive team climate.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite. Experience with wireless communication, embedded systems, system architecture, product development, power-efficient designs, battery applications, or FPGA is considered an asset.
The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
