Your Responsibilities

After completing the basic training, you will step into the role of Electrician at Saab in Tannefors. Your learning continues with the support of a mentor and through additional training weeks.

As an Electrician, you will build wiring and panels for aircraft according to instructions. The work involves handling small components, meticulous fine motor work, and soldering tasks – perfect for you who thrive with precision and detail-oriented work. On the department, there are currently about 75 electricians, and you will become part of an engaged team that works in goal-directed groups and according to 5S principles to create order, structure, and an efficient workflow.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a genuine technical interest and enjoy practical and meticulous work. If you like crafting, building Lego, knitting, or engaging in other precise hobby projects, you will thrive in this role. This job requires patience, precision, and an eye for detail.

Previous work experience is not a requirement. What is most important to us is that you have engagement, curiosity, and a desire to develop as an Electrician. If you have experience from service trades, we see it as an asset as it often implies that you have good teamwork skills, are solution-oriented, and are accustomed to meeting people in a positive way.

Naturally, your personal qualities are particularly important to us. We believe that you are a person who takes initiative, appreciates collaboration, and contributes to a positive team spirit. Furthermore, you need to be loyal, meticulous, and always strive to do your best.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

• Application: Submit your application and answer a number of screening questions.
• Capacity Test: A digital test measuring your analytical ability. The test takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
• Self-Declaration: Part of the security clearance process where you fill out a form sent via email from the OneFlow platform.
• Study Visit: If you proceed, you will be invited to a study visit to get a glimpse of what your future workplace might look like. The visit takes place on August 11.
• Practical Test: To demonstrate your manual skills. Takes place during week 33 (August 12, 13, or 14) at our premises at Skill.
• Interview & Reference Checks: Digital interview & reference checks with us at Skill, as well as a physical interview with managers from Saab.
• Security Clearance Interview & Health Examination: Physical conversation with Skill and examination at the occupational health service.

The apprenticeship program is a consultancy assignment where you will be employed by us at Skill starting November 23. After a period as a consultant, the goal is to become directly employed by Saab.
