Montico is now looking for a CNC operator/laser operator with a strong sense of responsibility for Progatec in Norrköping. You will work with both CNC machining and laser cutting in a production environment with varied assignments within contract manufacturing and installations.

About the role

Montico is seeking a laser cutter/CNC operator with a sense of responsibility and an interest in customer relations on behalf of Progatec. The role is broad and combines technical work in production with customer contact and some project management.

You will become a vital link between the customer and production, responsible for receiving drawings, converting them into finished products, and ensuring that deliveries meet high quality standards.

The position is long-term, full-time, and scheduled during daytime hours in Norrköping. Start date is by agreement, preferably as soon as possible. You will be employed by Montico on a fixed-term contract of 6 months, after which there are excellent opportunities for direct employment with Progatec.

Job Description

In this role, you will work both operationally in production and with planning and customer contact. Your tasks include, among other things:

• Laser cutting (approximately 50% of the role, with potential for more)
• Programming, setting up, and operating machines
• Interpreting and working from technical drawings
• Customer contact via phone and email
• Handling drawings in CAD programs such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Planning production and ensuring efficient workflows
• Monitoring materials and inventory levels (sheet metal)
• Working with waterjet cutting, press braking, or similar tasks as needed

You work independently with significant personal responsibility, while also being part of an experienced and cohesive team.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience with CNC and/or laser cutting
• Can read and understand technical drawings
• Has knowledge of CAD/CAM (advantageous)
• Is technically curious and eager to develop
