About the job

Are you a nursing assistant who is studying or has another life situation that makes you want to work on weekends? We are now looking for a nursing assistant for Galeasen short-term/alternating care who wants to work most of their hours on weekends and, in return, receive a lower weekly working time. With us, you perform a vital job for our municipal residents in need of our help.

Galeasen is located at Ågårdsskogen Care Centre. Here we support people who need short-term care/alternating care and day activities. We are now looking for you who enjoy helping other people. You are positive, outgoing, have a high sense of responsibility, and enjoy working in a team close to colleagues.

Responsibilities

The work consists of care adapted to the individual. You help residents with hygiene, social interaction, stimulation, and activation, as well as providing support in medical and rehabilitative tasks. You work independently but have good cooperation skills and participate actively in teamwork.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who take responsibility for your tasks, have the ability to create security, and to meet and understand the user's needs. As a person, you have the ability to take initiative and create trusting relationships based on care and empathy. It is natural for you to work independently but also to cooperate actively in a team. You need to have an orderly mind, flexibility, and stress tolerance, as there may be more to do during certain periods of the day, which requires flexibility in planning work with colleagues and taking responsibility for your tasks by, for example, completing a started task and following routines.

Requirements:

To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must be able to show the employer proof of a protected professional title for nursing assistants from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a certificate from a previous employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.

• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.

Experience from care and support work is meritorious.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Care and support college diploma.
• Experience in similar work.
• Experience in documentation.

Conditions

We are looking for a nursing assistant who wants to work a weekend service, which means working every weekend and at least 10 work shifts/4 weeks scheduled on weekends. Weekend work includes shifts from Friday evening to Sunday evening. The weekly working time for the weekend service is 32 hours/week, and 10 shifts correspond to an employment level of 62.5%.

If there is a desire for a higher employment level, more shifts will be scheduled on weekends or weekdays based on the employee's and the operation's needs.

The position is a fixed-term employment until January 31, 2027.

Start date according to agreement.

Selection takes place continuously during the recruitment period.

Salary range: We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For the position, the monthly salary is between 26,500 – 35,000 SEK depending on experience, education, and competence.

Certificate of Conduct

Before being offered employment, you as a candidate are required to show a certificate of conduct from the Swedish Police Authority for work in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes (residential homes for youth care), work with the elderly or people with disabilities. You order the certificate via the Police website. The certificate must be presented before employment can begin.
