Hospitals in the West is an administrative division within the Region of Västra Götaland and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Primary Care Hospital, Högsbo Primary Care Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3,000 employees work with us every day to provide good, safe, and high-quality specialist healthcare.

Us on Ward 8

Ward 8 is part of the Medicine Department at Kungälv Hospital. Our ward is designed so that every team of nurses, nursing assistants, paramedics, and doctors has good conditions to utilize each other's and the patients' resources and respect their integrity.

We are a specialist medicine ward focusing on Intermediate Care (IMA), hematology, gastroenterology, arrhythmias, and diabetes. The ward has specialist competence and advanced technology to care for patients who need medical emergency care. We on Ward 8 collaborate closely with the other medical wards at the hospital.

Tasks and Working Methods

The work on the ward is knowledge-intensive, developmental, and exciting. We work with person-centered care, which means that all professions – nurses, nursing assistants, paramedics, and doctors – work in a joint team together with the patient. We are looking for a colleague who is ready to meet patients with different needs, and you should be able to handle acute situations and remain calm under stress.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed nurse, and experience in our specialties is meritorious. For us, it is important that you are driven by a desire to develop care with the patient at the center, as well as actively sharing your knowledge with colleagues and equally curiously taking part in the competence of your colleagues.

Working Hours

The employment is for all hours of the day, but for this position, we are currently looking for a nurse who only wants to work nights.
