Job Description
Do you want to combine your expertise in microbiology with an eye for improvement? At Randstad Life Sciences, we are currently looking for a Microbiologist for a QC GMP operation in Uppsala. Here you will have a key role where your practical lab work meets continuous development work.
Planned start: After summer – beginning/mid-August.
We conduct ongoing selection. We are recruiting during the summer, but due to holidays, the process and our feedback may take slightly longer than usual. We handle applications on an ongoing basis and appreciate your patience during the vacation period.
Responsibilities
In the role of Microbiologist, you will work broadly with microbiological quality controls in a GMP-regulated environment. You will become an important part of ensuring the highest quality, while also being expected to keep a watchful eye on how processes and flows can be optimized.
Your main tasks:
- Perform microbiological quality controls of raw materials, media, pharmaceutical substances, intermediates, and final products. Examples of methods used include endotoxin analysis, bioburden, filtration, and total viable count.
- Conduct environmental sampling in production environments.
- Actively drive and participate in ongoing improvement work related to QC operations to increase efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you are a careful team player who is motivated by structure, but who also has that natural drive to want to do things a little better tomorrow than they were done yesterday.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Education: Academic degree (PhD/MSc/BSc) with a focus on microbiology, biotechnology, or equivalent.
- Experience: Good laboratory skills and practical experience with microbiological analyses from GxP-regulated operations.
- Advantageous: Previous experience with environmental sampling in production as well as documented experience in deviation management and change management.
- Language: Fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability for this position. As a person, you should be flexible, careful, have good communication skills, be curious, goal-oriented, and structured. It is important that you have very good teamwork skills and take responsibility so that the team delivers according to set timelines and quality requirements. Furthermore, you are skilled in the lab and have the ability to independently drive the work forward. We also appreciate that you are methodical, proactive, and contribute to a positive work climate. We welcome all applicants and strive for diversity.
