Praktiska Gymnasiet Sundsvall is a safe and family-oriented school with an open climate. We have a great community at the school between students and responsive, engaged staff. At Praktiska Gymnasiet, we offer vocational education with the possibility of achieving university eligibility. Currently, approximately 390 students receive their upper secondary education with us!

We offer vocational education on 8 different programs. Our facilities are fresh and adapted for good education! Our education is based on mixing theory with practice, and a large part of the teaching consists of APL (Workplace-based learning). The school has good contacts with the business community, and we constantly strive to give our students the best possible future competence and education! What We Offer You

WORK TASKS
Conduct teaching, planning, and handle relevant tasks associated with a vocational teacher position in the Plumbing and Property program. We would like you to have broad experience in various parts of the plumbing and property industry. Knowledge and experience relevant to the position are meritorious. You are expected to manage contacts with the industry, as well as source, coordinate, and follow up on APL (Workplace-based learning) and APL placements. The role also includes mentorship and work in teams. Within the scope of the position, there are great opportunities to influence the future design of the education due to the new upper secondary reform, Gy-25. QUALIFICATIONS
We are primarily looking for you who are a licensed vocational teacher in the Plumbing and Property program, or alternatively have substantial work experience with industry experience in the area that the employer deems equivalent. You have thorough knowledge of working environment and safety, as well as good industry contacts. Good oral and written skills in Swedish are required, and corresponding skills in English are meritorious. A B-class driver's license is required. You need to be relationship-building and cooperative in your contacts with students, colleagues, and the industry. You need to be planning and structured, but also adaptable and flexible in new situations.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT
Together with other colleagues, you are part of a team responsible for the entire student's education, supported by student health services and school management. We see you as an important and driving force to develop the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to subject-specific duties, you, like other teachers at the school, have tasks such as mentor and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically through their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans. This applies to both students and colleagues.
