BECOME PART OF OUR ENGAGED TEAM

Several ongoing development projects and advanced customer dialogues mean that the purchasing department continues to grow. We work with category-based purchasing where strategic, tactical, and operational buyers work closely together within their respective categories to achieve short- and long-term goals with suppliers. The team consists of the following sections:

• Mechanics
• Ammunition
• Systems/Electronics & COTS

We are now looking for several operational, tactical, and strategic buyers for our sections. In your application, you are welcome to specify which role/level and section you are primarily interested in.

THREE ROLES – ONE COMMON DIRECTION

OPERATIONAL BUYER

As an operational buyer, you are responsible for the daily purchasing work towards assigned suppliers. You thrive with structure, routines, and recurring administrative tasks, ensuring high precision at every step of the purchasing process.

TACTICAL BUYER

The tactical buyer role is newly established and bridges the gap between operational and strategic purchasing. Your main task is to put purchasing strategies into practice with a focus on delivery precision, quality, and competitive terms. You work with suppliers who manufacture components and systems based on our own specifications.

STRATEGIC BUYER

As a strategic buyer, you work with complex tenders and overall management of assigned purchasing categories. You drive the development of our supply chains, focusing on capacity, cost-effectiveness, and long-term sustainable business models. The suppliers often manufacture details, components, and systems based on BAE Systems Bofors' own specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

Common for all roles:

• Experience in purchasing/tendering – operational, tactical, or strategic, preferably from manufacturing industry.
• Interest in technology and the ability to understand technical specifications.
• Good system proficiency and preferably experience with business systems (e.g., SAP, IFS, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

Meritorious/Role-specific:

• Operational Buyer: experience in operational purchasing or similar administrative purchasing role; experience from manufacturing industry, reading drawings, and SAP are meritorious.
• Tactical Buyer: university/college degree or equivalent experience in economics, purchasing, logistics, quality, technology, or law; basic reading of drawings, ISO9001, negotiation, and contract experience.
• Strategic Buyer: academic education, preferably technical or economic with a focus on purchasing/law, as well as several years of experience in strategic purchasing in production/manufacturing operations; experienced negotiator and preferably experience in project management, business development, and complex technical systems.

You are structured, resilient, and communicative, with the ability to drive issues forward and create long-term relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
