Your assignment

In the role of Global Trade Officer at BAE Systems Bofors, you will have a broad and varied assignment where you work both operationally and strategically with export control and trade-related issues. You will become a key person who supports the business with qualified advice, drives cases with relevant authorities, and ensures that the company complies with applicable laws and regulations in the area.

Examples of tasks:

  • Be the business's central expert in export control and primary contact with Swedish and foreign export control authorities
  • Classify hardware, software, and information according to relevant export control legislation
  • Process export licenses and applications to Swedish and foreign authorities
  • Analyze planned transactions from an export control perspective and determine if they are compatible with current laws, regulations, and permits
  • Follow up and report licenses and deliveries to relevant authorities
  • Implement and further develop internal directives, processes, and working methods
  • Map and improve existing working methods to streamline export control work
  • Train and support the business in export control and trade-related issues
  • Follow and analyze developments in international regulations, especially within the EU and USA

An important part of the role is to help develop and streamline working methods in the area. You will work in a dynamic, event-driven environment, collaborating closely with engaged colleagues throughout BAE Systems Bofors.

We are looking for you who

  • Have documented experience in export control and are accustomed to interpreting and applying regulations in the field
  • Have a relevant academic degree in engineering, law, or a similar field
  • Have very good knowledge of applicable laws and regulations within export control
  • Are structured and meticulous, with high integrity and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Enjoy combining operational work with overall improvement efforts and drive issues forward independently in close collaboration with others
  • Have good communication skills, enjoy working in an advisory capacity, and build trusting relationships internally and externally, for example with authorities and partners
  • Meritorious with experience in business and process development as well as knowledge of BAE Systems Bofors products
