Kraftens Hus Sjuhärad is looking for a Business Developer
Kraftens Hus Sjuhärad is a meeting place for people affected by cancer – for people of all ages who in different ways have been affected by a cancer diagnosis; as a patient, next of kin, family member, friend, or bereaved. The meeting place has existed since 2018 and is located at Träffpunkt Simonsland. Here, an open meeting place, lectures, and various activities are offered that provide support, community, and knowledge in a safe environment where everyone is welcome. We collaborate with various actors in civil society and serve as a complement to healthcare. Kraftens Hus aims to contribute to increasing societal knowledge about the needs of those affected by cancer and how these can be met by being a collaborative partner in various ways within civil society.
Kraftens Hus operates as a non-profit association. The association's work is based on respect for the equal value of all people and is religiously and politically independent. Kraftens Hus has locations in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Gotland, Jämtland/Härjedalen, Kraftens Hus Digitalt, and Kraftens Hus Skaraborg, a new association that will start its operations this autumn.
We are looking for an engaged colleague who wants to help further develop and communicate the activities of Kraftens Hus. You will be part of the daily operations and work both operationally close to the activities and strategically. The role involves close contact with people affected by cancer, volunteers, and partners. We are looking for you who want to contribute to improving support and quality of life for everyone affected by cancer while also meeting and supporting people in their daily lives.
Your responsibilities include:
- Being present on-site, organizing activities within the operations, and meeting people affected by cancer at different stages of life
- Actively participating in the planning and development of the operations. Being involved in the development area of creating external meeting places and pop-up operations around Sjuhärad, so that more people have access to support
- Leading discussion groups
- Collaborating with patient and next-of-kin associations, healthcare, and other private and public actors to create networks, also with the aim of achieving increased funding
- Work with social media and the website
- Participate in the creation of and dissemination of informational materials
- Communicate and spread the Kraftens Hus brand
Qualifications:
- Nursing education at the university level, or other equivalent education relevant to the work
- Experience working within cancer care
- Education in or experience leading discussion groups is meritorious
- Personal experience as a patient or next of kin is meritorious
- Good computer skills, interest in working with social media. Experience with websites, Canva, or similar programs is meritorious
- Good skills in expressing yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
Personal qualities:
- Good ability to meet people in crisis as well as people with different backgrounds and needs, to make assessments and refer people in need of support and care in various ways

- Creative and curious
- Driving and clear but with a great ability to collaborate, a "team player"

We offer meaningful, varied, and interesting work with great opportunities to help develop the operations. You will participate in Kraftens Hus's national network and collaborate with other Kraftens Hus locations, primarily in Västra Götaland but also around Sweden.
The operations have their meeting place in Borås, but the assignment covers the entire Sjuhärad region. We work to ensure that support can be offered through external meeting places, pop-up operations, and activities in different municipalities, with the ambition to eventually establish long-term meeting places in several locations in the region.

A driver's license (Category B) and access to a personal car are required.
Employment: Permanent position, with employment level 75% or as agreed. Working hours are primarily during the day, but some evenings are included, and weekend work may occur for specific activities and events. The employment is according to a collective agreement with pension and wellness benefits.
