Do you want to become part of Region Jämtland Härjedalen – a region you look forward to and grow in? Here, you contribute to development and growth throughout the county and work to offer the best possible service, care, and support for everyone who lives in or visits the region.

We offer a work environment characterized by collaboration, participation, and engagement, where both breadth and specialized expertise are valued. Here, you have the opportunity to develop in your role, whether you are new to the profession or have extensive experience.

Our Operations

Primary care within Region Jämtland Härjedalen is organized into 4 local care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under "good and close care." Each local care area is an economic unit led by an operations manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's healthcare advice service, youth clinic, and the local care ward Näva, all of which are grant-funded.

Frösö Health Centre is a pleasant and well-functioning workplace with approximately 60 employees and 12,500 registered patients, located close to nature on Frösön. Here, a broad team of different professions works together with engaged unit managers to provide person-centered care.

We have a strong team spirit with both broad and specialized expertise and work in teams focused on Local Care. The operations also include a family center and a psychosocial clinic.

Community and joy in work are at the center of our workplace, with room for both social activities and recovery – something we see as an important part of a sustainable and pleasant work environment.

Responsibilities

Working with us as a Specialist in General Practice involves standard clinic work, home visits, and digital visits as needed. For a full-time position, you, as a district doctor, are responsible for an area with 1,250 registered patients. There are also opportunities for side assignments within SÄBO (care for people with intellectual disabilities), Child Health Centre (BVC), Maternity Health Centre (MVC), and supervision of trainee doctors.

Schedule-wise, you are set up as a "question doctor" without booked patients for approximately one to two half-days per week to answer questions from all professional groups, allowing for a more undisturbed clinic time the rest of the week.

You have the opportunity to adapt your daily schedule according to your own preferences regarding administrative time, with the possibility of remote work in consultation with your nearest manager. We have a doctor's meeting for two hours per week, and regular further education in the form of five education days per year. These days help create a strong general practice community in the region.

In addition, a place in an FQ group for further education and group reflection is offered five days per year. Occasional on-call shifts are included in the work. The Primary Care Area has the status of a university healthcare unit, meaning teaching, supervision, and education of medical students at Umeå University are included as part of the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a Specialist in General Practice or at the end of your Specialist Training (ST) in General Practice. Experience from the profession as well as own research and research supervision are meritorious but not a formal requirement for the position.

Personal suitability is given great importance.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, Start date: According to agreement.

In Region Jämtland Härjedalen, our work is permeated by our core values: we create value for those we serve, act with drive, and strive to always be perceived as reliable. Here, you have the opportunity to work in an organization where these values shape daily life and where your work truly makes a difference.

As an employee, you have access to a wide range of benefits through our benefits portal. We care about your health and offer a fitness allowance or fitness hour. At Östersund Hospital, you can also train for free at the Zefyren gym and participate in leader-led sessions.

Selection and appointment may take place continuously during the advertising period, so we would appreciate it if you submit your application as soon as possible.

We have an established recruitment process and therefore kindly but firmly decline contact with advertising salespeople or other sellers of recruitment services.
