About the Field Jaeger Group, Training Section

The primary task of the Field Jaeger Group (FJG) is to train a Home Guard battalion, and it also has the task of supporting voluntary activities in Jämtland County. In this position, you are part of the Field Jaeger Group's training section. The tasks are solved through cooperation within the section, with the other sections of the training group, and with unit components from the Home Guard. The training section conducts and coordinates the exercise activities for the unit. Approximately 30 employees work at FJG today.

Main Responsibilities

As a local voluntary coordinator, you are an important part of the work to provide the support that voluntary organizations require, and you serve as a contact point for the voluntary defense organizations. In your role as a local voluntary coordinator, you will also have a crucial role connected to the regional counterpart. You are expected to receive and forward inputs regarding the implementation of centrally decided course activities, answer detailed questions regarding support opportunities, and participate in network meetings within the Northern Military Region, as well as centrally in the country. Other tasks falling under the role of training administrator include maintaining dialogue with the unit regarding their registrations for central and local courses and processing these registrations.

Other tasks may include: ordering consumable materials, making vehicle orders, picking up and delivering materials at the warehouse, acting as a support to the head of the training section, and answering questions regarding the recruitment of specialist positions related to the voluntary defense organizations. In addition, you are expected to be part of the daily operations at the training group and participate in local recruitment councils with the Home Guard battalion to identify training needs.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Upper secondary education with passing grades
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Good computer skills with good knowledge of Office
• Category B driver's license (manual transmission)

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:

The Northern Military Region (MR N) is responsible for territorial land command in the four northern counties. The region consists of a staff and five training groups. Operations are located from Kiruna in the north to Härnösand in the south. At MR N, there are seven Home Guard battalions and several support functions.
