Are you an engaged and solution-focused special needs educator or special teacher with experience in creating inclusive learning environments where every student is given the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites? Through close collaboration between teachers, student health services, and guardians, we conduct preventive and developmental work that strengthens both safety and learning.

Your responsibilities

As a special teacher, you support students in their knowledge development through targeted pedagogical interventions at both individual and group levels. You map students' needs, plan, implement, and follow up on teaching, while contributing to creating good conditions for learning and goal achievement. You collaborate closely with teachers to adapt teaching and learning environments based on students' needs. As part of the school's student health team, you contribute your special pedagogical competence and work together with students, guardians, and other professionals to provide students with the best possible support in their schooling.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach in lower secondary school (grades 7-9) and who have a degree as a special educator or special teacher with a focus on mathematics. You have good digital skills and use computers and tablets in your work and teaching (ICT). You have experience working within the school system and an interest in students and their individual prerequisites for learning and development. You are confident in combining special pedagogical work with mathematics teaching. Previous experience as a special teacher is a plus.

The school is led by a principal and two deputy principals and is divided into four work units: preschool class and after-school care, grades 1-3, grades 4-6, and grades 7-9. Before you can be employed, you must show a clean extract from the police criminal record.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of residence together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
