About the position
We are looking for you who want to work in a skilled student health team. Do you want to contribute your competence and further develop student health at Grillska Specialized Upper Secondary School as well as the General Introduction Programme?
As a school nurse, you play a key role in the school's student health team (EH) and work closely with the principal, deputy principal, special needs educator, counselor, study and career counselor, school psychologist, school doctor, and other professionals within student health. Together, you contribute different competencies to create the best conditions for students' learning, health, and development.
The role involves proactively reaching out to and inviting students for health talks and check-ups, as well as meeting students who seek you out for temporary support. Common tasks within student health work are included. The student health team also works on student attendance and provides information on nutrition, health, sleep, and exercise for sustainable living habits and good conditions for learning. The team is characterized by openness, close collaboration, and collegial learning.

Qualifications
For this position, we expect you to have an appropriate higher education degree in school nursing, district nursing, or pediatric nursing. You must be a licensed nurse and have specialized training in health and medical care for children and adolescents (or equivalent training from another EU country), or alternatively have specialized training in primary health care or a specialist nurse degree for district nurses or school nurses. You work according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's and the Swedish National Agency for Education's guidelines for student health.
Previous experience in similar assignments at the upper secondary level and at a Specialized Upper Secondary School is meritorious.

Desirable is also experience in preventive health work, knowledge and competence in sex and relationship education (ANT), health habits, stress, and mental health.

You are curious and work actively to ensure that every student develops as far as possible based on their prerequisites.

Grillska Upper Secondary Schools are run by Sweden's largest ideologically driven owner at the upper secondary level. Being ideologically driven means that we are run in foundation form and as a non-profit organization, and we are simultaneously non-denominational and non-political. In total, the foundation has approximately 3,000 students, of which over 60 attend our specialized upper secondary school in Liljeholmen and 60 at IMA.
