Do you want to be part of the launch and put your own stamp on a brand new restaurant in Bergeforsen? We are looking for you – a passionate, experienced, and confident chef – who wants to lead our kitchen and deliver a dining experience that combines first-class pizza with beloved pub favorites.
Our concept is built on creating a welcoming and lively meeting place for both locals and visitors. The menu should feel both accessible and full of quality, with craftsmanship at the center. Here, perfectly baked pizzas coexist with hearty meat dishes and classic plank-grilled steaks.
We are now looking for a key person who wants to take significant ownership of the kitchen and help build the business from the ground up.
About the role: A central and creative key position
In this role, you will be more than just a team member – you will be a co-creator of our restaurant. Since we are currently building the business, you will have the opportunity to shape routines, structures, and workflows in the kitchen from day one.
There are great opportunities to influence dishes, purchasing, and ingredient selection, as long as the final result maintains high quality, tastes fantastic, and appeals to a broad audience. You will work independently but in close collaboration with management to drive the restaurant forward.
Your main responsibilities:
- Cooking & Baking: Responsible for the entire kitchen production – from dough preparation and pizza baking to cooking meat dishes, sauces, and à la carte items.
- Concept & Menu: Actively participate in menu planning, dish development, and the selection of ingredients and suppliers.
- Kitchen Operations & Hygiene: Plan and organize kitchen work, manage self-control procedures, and maintain impeccable hygiene and cleaning standards.
- Service & Logistics: Handle orders (both for seated guests and take-away), manage cash/register and serving when needed, and package and prepare items for deliveries.
Who are you?
We are looking for a stable and proactive person who thrives when given responsibility and the freedom to manage their own work. You are proud of your profession and do not compromise on quality, even when the pace picks up during the Friday rush.
We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- Substantial Experience: You have worked for several years in restaurant kitchens and are fully independent in both pizza baking and traditional hot kitchen work (preferably classic pub food).
- Quality-Conscious & Creative: You have a distinct sense for clean flavors and good ingredients. You can be creative and add a golden touch to the food, while staying within the framework of a popular and efficient concept.
- Structured & Efficient: You are meticulous, have good organizational skills, and maintain calmness and efficiency even when orders are pouring in.
- Communicative: You have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. This is a requirement to handle instructions, communicate seamlessly with colleagues, and provide good service to our guests.
